Justice System Products
The Research-to-Policy Collaboration’s (RPC) has contributed to policy efforts affecting the justice system, focusing primarily on juvenile justice and police reform. RPC’s work in juvenile justice began with our inaugural implementation of the RPC in 2016 by the National Prevention Science Coalition. We worked with federal congressional offices to identify policymakers’ priorities related to crime prevention. As legislation relating to juvenile justice was being introduced (e.g., JJDPA), RPC summarized information for policymakers on juvenile justice reform and reducing recidivism for justice-involved youth. The RPC responded to a legislative request on police reform and developed a brief on the impact of racial disparities and police-community relations.
