Violence and Victimization Products

The Research-to-Policy Collaboration’s (RPC) work within the area of violence and victimization emerged through a congressional briefing on the prevention of human trafficking in 2017 by the National Prevention Science Coalition. Since then, RPC has worked with offices on a variety of requests on topic such as family violence, human trafficking, victim services and compensation, domestic violence, safe harbor laws, and trauma-informed care. RPC has reached out to our network of researchers and summarized information to answer key legislative issues involving the federal Victims of Crime Act of 1984’s (VOCA) Crime Victim Fund (CVF). RPC has also contributed to efforts to answer questions regarding barriers to disclosure and help-seeking after victimization. RPC’s policy efforts within violence and victimization often intersect largely with our focus on equity and community-specific issues.
